Berlin 26 hours
BERLIN. I don't call it a city, its a planet with wide streets and big parks. Messy, trendy, chaotic, quirky and a place where freedom and creativity is never felt stronger than here.
For sure you need time to explore this city. But a day only has 24 hours.
Plantbased food scene is amazing, not surprised its vegan city number one in Europe ever since when it becomes to find plantbased options.
There is no precise neighbourhood of course there is Prenzlauer Berg or very hipp Kreuzberg. The whole city is a mirror of popularity of veganism.
Its worth a visit, especially if hitting Berlin on cold, windy day. Bikini Berlin has a lot raw food and vegan food options. Its an amazing "Mall" with beautiful architecture, big glass fronts and great views. I enjoyed very much a lovely vegan cake at Food you. And on a other cold winter day I enjoyed a vegan Bibimbab which is served at the Kantini area.
The Bikini Berlin brand is synonymous with a new concept for the heritage-listed building complex at Berlin’s Zoo, which is significantly influencing the transformation and success of the City West. An oasis in the heart of the city, an urban hub and social universe.

The Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg is the epicentre of Berlin's modern urban food movement. Behold the guide to the very best vendors in the hall.
This delightful 1891 market hall with its iron-beam-supported ceiling was saved by dedicated locals in 2009. On market days, local and regional producers present their products, while on Street Food Thursday a couple of dozen international amateur or semipro chefs set up their stalls to serve delicious snacks from around the world. As the name implies, Markthalle Neun was the ninth (of a total of 14) market halls built in Berlin in the late 19th century. It did a roaring trade for decades but over time succumbed to competition from supermarkets, eventually becoming the haunt of tacky discount stores. Now the place is regularly invaded by locals and visitors from around the city to stock up on apples from Brandenburg, baked goods from Neukölln and vegetables from a local urban garden collective. For us vegans there are a quite a few options. From cold pressed juices to veggie platers, all I would ask for. I definitely never leave with a huge amounts seasonal, organic vegetables and fruits.

Hallesches Haus is a general store, which leaves no chef dream open. This wonderful place has a general store, which leaves no chefs dream open. Here you'll find all kind of kitchen tools and gadgets. This place is situated in the historic Postamt 61 in Kreuzberg, Berlin. At Hallesches Haus the light-filled lunchroom opens for all-day breakfasts and lunch. The seasonally changing menu features healthy, hearty and satisfying dishes freshly prepared everyday in their open kitchen. For vegans there are great breakfast options and lovely lunch salads. I love this place, definitely one of my favourite places to be in Berlin and stay there a couple of hours, reading and writing.
